SPRING SPORTS 2017

Holy Redeemer offers a number of spring sports, all of them are open for registration.  All signups are handled online using the SportsPilot system.  The link for SportsPilot registration is in the upper right of this page.

 

BASEBALL

Holy Redeemer Athletics will offer 3 teams in 2017.  The 1st game is scheduled to take place on April 1st.  No games will be scheduled over Easter weekend.

 

We will be placing two teams in the RBBA this season.  For those not familiar with RBBA, please refer to their website: www.rbba.org. Additionally, we will place one team in CYO. Registration fees are $150 per athlete.  The registration deadline is March 10, 2017.  If you would like to help coach or have questions about the program, please contact Mark Tropea @ [email protected]

  • 4th/5th RBBA Baseball – There will be two games each week – One on Tuesday or Thursday and one on Saturday. Optional batting practice is on Sundays.
  • 6th/7th RBBA Baseball – There will be two games each week – One on Monday or Wednesday and one on Saturday. Optional batting practice is on Sundays.
  • Varsity CYO Baseball (7th/8th grade) – There will be one game each week. The team will be considered our A team. Tryouts will be set at a later date.

SOFTBALL

Holy Redeemer Athletics will offer 10U girls softball in 2017.  The 1st game is scheduled to take place on April 1st.  We will likely have an 8 game schedule.  No games will be scheduled over Easter weekend.

 

Practices will be held at Holy Redeemer.  Exact days and times are not available at this time.  Games will take place on Friday evenings, Saturday or Sundays.  Registration fees are $100 per athlete.

TRACK and FIELD

Holy Redeemer Athletics will again be offering a spring track program for children in the HR Parish, Grades K-8.  The 2017 track season will run during the month of April. We will be participating in the newly formed Columbus League with 4 regular season meets and a Championship meet all within Montgomery County.  Please see www.columbusleague.org for information. Practices will be held at Holy Redeemer School Tuesdays at 6 pm.  Track meets are on Sundays 1-3 pm at sites to be determined. Registration fees are $35 per runner.

SOCCER CLINIC

The HR Preschool & Kindergarten Soccer Program will be held this spring on Saturday mornings on the turf field. JOIN THE FUN!  Holy Redeemer parish children who attend any kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, 4-year old, or 3-year-old nursery school program are welcome to participate. The cost of this program is $45 which includes a t-shirt.

 

Clinic Dates and Times April, 8, 22 (no practice April 15 for Easter or April 29 for First Communion), May 6, 13, 20

 

Children in a 3-year-old nursery school program will play from 9-9:45.  Children in a 4-year-old program, PreK, or Kindergarten will play from 10-10:45.

This is a cooperative program and everyone is welcomed and encouraged to participate. Our parent volunteers are important to the success of the program. You do not need to be a soccer expert or an “athlete” to be part of the fun. CYO/HRAC SOCCER

The 1st & 2nd Grade Soccer Program will be held Saturday afternoons on the turf field. Holy Redeemer parish children in 1st & 2nd grade are welcome to participate. The cost of this program is $45 which includes a t-shirt. Weekly 1-hour practice sessions (tbd) + Saturday games versus teams from other area parishes.   Games will start in mid-April with breaks for First Communion and Memorial Day.   If you have any questions, would like to volunteer or are interested in helping out in any way please email Luke David at [email protected]
