The Crabs take 2017 Super Bowl in OT

After a hard fought battle, The Crabs capped off an undefeated season with a 25-22 overtime win against the Thundering Herd.  The lead seesawed back and forth for most of the game with teams battling it out on both ends of the field.  With the score tied at 22-22, The Crabs stopped the marching Herd with an incredible midfield sack on the last play in regulation pushing the game into overtime.

The Crabs won the coin toss and managed a field goal from their drive.  On the next sequence, The Thundering Herd had what appeared to be a game winning touchdown called back on a back field block.  The Herd drove back down to the 5 yard line and went for all the marbles on a 4th down play.  The Crabs’ tight secondary coverage with tireless d-line chasing the QB, forced an incomplete pass to win the Super Bowl.

Congratulations to all the teams and a big thank you to the coaches, referee volunteers, and Sean Neary for doing an incredible job of organizing and running a successful flag football season.
